#WalangPasok: Suspension of Classes for December 2, 2019

Classes will be suspended on December 2 due to incoming tropical storm “Tisoy.”

  • A new tropical storm named “Tisoy,” with the international name “Kammuri,” will be entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility
  • The storm is slowly moving west and is expected to make a landfall at Bicol on Monday evening
  • Different places, including Metro Manila, has declared suspension of classes, depending on the school level

A new tropical storm, with the international name “Kammuri,” is entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has been given another name already, and is now called “Tisoy.”

Typhoon “Tisoy,” is slowly moving west, and is expected to make landfall at the Bicol area around Monday evening, December 2, 2019, and up until early morning of Tuesday, December 3. It’s current wind speed reaches up to 150 kph and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

Currently, there are a few places where Signal No. 1 has been declared:

  • Catanduanes
  • Albay
  • Sorsogon
  • Camarines Sur
  • Masbate, including Burias Island and Ticao Island
  • Samar
  • Northern Samar
  • Eastern Samar
  • Biliran
  • Camotes Islands
  • Leyte
